It doesn't matter if it sways voters. It's illegal. Same with immigration, That's why they are called illegal aliens. Same with marijuana, it doesn't matter what a state thinks, it's illegal. Those enforcing the laws only enforce the ones that benefit them and ignore the ones that don't.

Danno pretty much stole the words out of my mouth before I could reply to this. Our military DOES need funding, but obama will not fund them. We are taxed more than enough already, but it's all going to places like planned parenthood, where they encourage kids to have sex by giving them free contraceptives, and then helps them to murder their unborn children when they inevitably decide they don't want to be parents. And of course, the ever popular bailing out of failing car companies. Non profit, and small business are being ignored. Why do you think 23 million Americans are out of jobs? And those are only the numbers for people who are still on the grid. Many have given up and dropped out of the work force, so they don't show up on the unemployment list.

So our tax dollars are being wasted, and now even more of it will be wasted. Yeah, good thing obama "cares" so much.

First, the Hatch act prohibits photos, and does not specifically mention murals.

Second, the campaign official in charge of that voting location is a REPUBLICAN, Tom Justice. GOP goes to court to cover Obama mural at polling site - Philly.com

So yes, you are right, this republican is not enforcing the laws that benefit him and is ignoring the ones that don't.

what bothers me, more than anything else, is that we would have a large mural of Obama dominating a wall in an elementary school in the United States.

My first thought: Saddam Hussein

Seriously. You want a wall dedicated to the PresidentS (that's plural) then fine. Hang their pictures up there for the kids to see.

But ONE president?

No sir. That's not right. It smacks of something I'm sure Cruize and ScottF will laugh off.

And then that's the real problem here isn't it?

and I'd wager that the majority of schools in this country only display the current president

Actually for the same reason unemployement is high in europe, companies sayin big profits need to be bigger and thus shipping the production to China, Mexico, El Salvador, Turkey etc. China has become a really wealthy nation while the western world has gotten poorer and it is because we have given them our jobs.
Take Foxconn as an example who produces the Apple products, Xbox etc. I have beedn searching on the internet and they employ somwhere between 500,000 and 1,000,000 people and thats a crapload of jobs...

"The state Democatic Party agreed the mural should be hidden from public view as long as the polls are open."
