Re: Petraeus resigns
He will have to testify. Not sure why people are saying he won't. He will say things that are unfavorable to the White House. They tried to change his mind. It didn't work. It didn't work because he had plans to run for President. If he still intends to do so better to get this out right now before he gets to the starting line. People will forget about the affair or marginalize it. What they will remember is that he stood his ground on a matter that was more important than himself. I honestly believe that is what happened. If you watch the interview of his mistress on the Daily Show there is an uncomfortable pause when he hints about him running for President. Even if he decides not to run he could not have lived with himself lying about Libya. At least this option he can recover some of his legacy in the history books.

Re: Petraeus resigns
The hearing is being held behind closed doors, everyone involved has been told to keep their mouths shut, timelines don't match up, discrepancies with what people witnessed on the ground and what has been said by officials. Those are the facts.
