Occupy Sandy: Wall Street protest group finds new cause delivering aid to storm victims - Yahoo! News

First, they stood up for the 99% against the corruption on Wall St. and from the banks. Now, they're refusing to let the victims of Sandy suffer without standing up and doing something about it. Good job!

The news had been portraying them as a bunch of bums and mobs. From people I spoke to who were on the ground in NY when they first started, they painted an entirely different picture. They told me they were organized, very organized. They had good systems in place for what limited resources they had available so this does not surprise me.

Never was very fond of the occupy movement but its great if they spend their time helping people instead.

Same here. You could say the same thing about the church organizations after Katrina. I'm not a religious person by any means but they did some amazing work. One thing about America, we may have a lot of different view points but we can set those differences aside when it matters which is a beautiful thing.

I rode past their camp on the Embarcaderro every day until the city (San Francisco of all cities) broke it up. It was a joke. I took the time to walk down there one day and look around. It was AT LEAST 80 percent homeless people, and those not in the ranks of the homeless were there trying to make a buck selling the kinda crap you see at rinky dink flea markets.

Now I'm not saying that was the case everywhere. That's just what I saw, first hand, out here in the "People's Republic" of California. Take that for whatever it's worth.
