Re: Brilliance In Action
You're not too far off with that ... my understanding of Obama's bid to avoid the 'fiscal cliff' is to raise $1.6T in tax revenues, get an additional $50 billion in new stimulus and raise the debt ceiling unilaterally ... I mean, seriously? Has nobody on Capitol Hill noted that Japan has been employing a similiar strategy since the early '90s with little success? The GM bailout cost the American taxpayer well over $50 billion alone, do we need to repeat that 'success'?
Isn't the definition of 'stupid' repeating the same thing & expecting different results? We're in for a long recession. |

Re: Brilliance In Action
His legacy will be reduced to a unique ability to round up the poor and feeble minded. A real leader finds real solutions and gets people to follow.
I understand people make mistakes, we all do, but he has yet to do anything right. We are still fighting senseless wars, we are still fighting record unemployment, we are still fighting about government revenue. |

One, two maybe three mistakes and you can chalk it up to inexperience. Looking at Obama's policies and record you have to starting thinking that all of the decisions and actions that history says will wreck our society and economy of decades to mcome must be intentional.

Re: Brilliance In Action
Let's just confiscate all the wealth of the top 5% - that should be good enough to run this bloated federal government for a few weeks and put an end to the class envy BS...

But intentionally? Like in an 'evil-turn-us-into-a-socialist-nation' type way? I honestly think the guy has convictions and believes that what he's doing is for the good of the country. In that way, 'yes', I believe what he's doing is 'intentional', but I don't believe he wants to harm the country, it's just no one's ever taught him the lesson on how overspending on your credit cards can lead to disaster. |

Remember, we see the Constitution as fundamental rights that every United States citizen has. Obama, and the Democrats see the Constitution as an obstruction of federal power.
