Re: Bloomberg (Democrat) uses tragedy to push anti-gun agenda

I would like to ask all of you what YOU like to do as a hobby?

I noticed that a couple of you like to play video games. I pose this question to the gamers.

What if they pass a law that says you can no longer play any simulated violence games? No more "Call of Duty", "Resident Evil", "Grand Theft Auto", and games that are the like.

You may say, "Well, those are just games". Yes. Yes, they are. However, what those games do is teach you how to kill. Not only kill, but kill without remorse. They teach tactics. How to ambush, how to control your rate of fire, all kinds of ways to "Kill" the bad guy.

The same can be said about movies and TV shows. No more "Walking Dead", Horror movies, war or action movies. These types of programs and movies all show killing without remorse.

Once you get desensitized to blood and guts and killing; it gets to the point to where you can shut off the emotion.

The following is my personal experiences and in no way is suppose to upset anyone or piss anyone off.

At age 15 I watched my friend die because a drunk driver was driving on the wrong side of the interstate.

During my first deployment I watched as 5 friends were blown apart by IED's.

Now, what all that did was desensitize me to death. I don't think any of you can understand what that really means other than guys who have been through the same type of things. And I really don't want to explain it.

Understand all Americans. (Nothing personal to our overseas brothers)

If we let the Government does what I think they are going to do, we will regret it. My kids as well as yours will pay the price of this.

P.S. I am sick of hearing the question, "Why do you need a gun?" or "Why do you need a AK47 or AR15?". BECAUSE THE CONSTITUTION OF AMERICA SAYS I CAN AND BECAUSE I WANT ONE! If you don't feel you have the desire, want or need for one, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY ONE!

It makes me sick to my stomach to know that I have faught for this Nation and my friends and countless other Americans have died or are injured for life; so that rights of Americans can be taken away, just because some people don't see a reason for having it anymore.

Bring on the "Getting rid of slavery" if you want. Owning a slave was never a RIGHT for all Americans. But if the Government does this, you better get ready to become one.

Sorry if I have tweek some nerves. But you all have to understand that as soon as 1 basic right is taken away, the rest will follow. And if you can understand that, I pity you.

A thought invoking post to say the least.

My friend wanted to be a Navy Seal and was required to speak with a few of them before making it official.

The Seal he interviewed with started off with this “are you sure you want to be a Navy Seal?” exchange (paraphrasing)…

The first time I killed someone I threw up and couldn’t sleep for the next few nights. It haunted me.

The second time I killed someone I didn’t get sick, but still felt bad, just not as bad as before.

The third time I killed someone, I started looking around for someone else to kill.

My friend decided then and there it wasn’t what he wanted.

I could quite easily live without violent games/TV.I don't watch anything put out for shock value as I'm not interested in violence for violence sake.Personally I do not think that games desensitise you to violence as seeing something onscreen and actually going out and doing them are totally different for me.
I joined the navy at 18 but left as it wasn't right for me and I wanted to wait a couple of years before joining the army but ended up with a hip injury that put any thoughts of that to a end.
The argument put to me was could you kill and my rely always was that you would be able to as you have no choice if the situation arises. Its how you deal with it that can't be answered
As a non American I don't think ill ever understand the call of our freedoms/rights etc, that's not meant as a insult but I don't think we have the sane patriotism over here like you do over there.over here we always her Americans say that they thank the troops for there freedom. Its different over here, most people don't agree with that thought.
I don't want to go much further as I'm unsure how to put things without sounding really offensive to some people and its not the way I would want to put things.

For as similar as we are on some aspects,we are miles apart in others.
Maybe it's due to the fact you are a relatively new country from a diverse background, where as we are a older historic nation that still pretty reserved in the whole.

It is hard for people who are not Americans to understand Americans. I know. I have very close friends that are from England, Germany, and other Countries. I also have friends that are Iraqis. I don't give a crap what the news media has to say. The Iraqis are glad America got rid of their Government. Many have told me so.

That is what Americans do not understand and can't understand. We have had freedoms and rights for so long that they have forgotten what they really mean. It is just as impossible for a non American to understand what the "Hu-Bub" with freedom and rights is all about.

I'm not knocking what you guys think. You don't know any different way of Government; and not being a smartazz, but thats why we left England. This Nation was founded on indivdual freedoms. I will say it again, INDIVDUAL----FREEDOMS.

edit:

I notice you have Boba Fett as a picture. I will give you an example of why SOME Americans thank the military for their freedom, by using Star Wars.

The "Galactic Empire"(Government) is the ruler of the galaxy. All freedoms have been taken away from the people of the galaxy. A small group of people(Rebel Alliance); throughout the galaxy are tired of being told what they can and cannot do. So they form an "Army" and eventually over throw the Empire and bring freedom to the galaxy.

Now. My question is. Who gets credit for freeing the galaxy from the evil Empire?

The Grand Premier Commisar Obama shall not let this incident go to waste therefore he has called forth his "Aparatchinik" Comrade Biden along with his cabal of "useful idiots" to further control his "Subjects" formerly known as "citizens" and further revoke their rights, backed and emboldened by millions of other "useful idiots" amongst the "subjects" who have given up the last remaining pretense of freedom and self determination through emotional reaction and have bleated like the sheepish weaklings they are to be protected from themselves by the communist party of the U.S.S.A.

I've got a lot to learn about guns, gun safety, and gun laws.

Its my new hobby. I might even change my username to Gunno.

Isn't it ironic that when liberals go after guns, gun sales skyrocket?

I've never wanted to own a handgun and if the liberals hadn't started this war on guns crap I probably still wouldn't. Now I want multiple guns.

Your avatar has a gun so I naturally assumed....

Gun Trust: The sort and sweet of it is each and every time you hear ANYONE say that machine guns, automatic rifles, silencers, stubby shot guns, are illegal... Just snicker to your self. They are not, no more illegal than buying a handgun with no paperwork...

Its been shotguns since I was 8... I was assigned other weapons in the ARMY but never bought or owned them... Bought my first Pistol 8 months ago.. Sig P225 Navy.. Next is a FN SCAR 17S.

Before you buy ... watch the videos. This guy does a lot of reviews and they are great.
HICKOK45 - YouTube

If you want to laugh at idiots.. Search Desert Eagle on Youtube this chick ends up with blood running down her head...

You should expect some in my replies.
