RE: TAMPA

Now everyone can see why Cadillac was the featured back at Auburn, not Ronnie Brown. If you can run on Buffalo's defense, then you are pretty darn good.

Hmm, the division as of right now is upside down. Tampa undefeated and the Saints will be after tomorrow, while Atlanta and the Panthers bring up the rear, doubly so for Carolina for losing to the Saints. Interesting. The Tampa Bay New Orleans game should be good.

Who'd have thunk it. Not me.

CHACHING 09-19-2005 08:56 AM

I actualy love it...
When we beat Carolina we were "an emotional team"
When we beat the midgets we will become noticed..
When we beat good ATL and Tampon teams , we'll be REAL!
bring it on.....

This division may end up being the best in football this season. Every single team, as of right now, IMO, has realistic playoff aspirations. Tampa and the Saints (assuming we win) should be two of only three undefeated teams in the NFC after this weekend. Carolina just beat the Patties and ATL beat Philly. It looks to me like there isn't a team in the division who can't be at least 9-7.

The thing that scares me though - all of these teams can run the ball and all have top 10 defenses. We can run, but our defense is bottom 10.

CHACHING 09-19-2005 09:45 AM

Give or "D" a couple of weeks.....we'll end up mid range.....14 or 15......
trust me...

spkb25 09-19-2005 12:11 PM

im with you on that whodat. it scares me too and looking at this division it does look like possibly the best in the league. any thought to chicago winning the north?

WhoDat 09-19-2005 01:49 PM

Possible, but doubtful. The entire North sucks. Detroit is far an away the leader in terms of talent. After stomping the Pack in week 1 they laid an egg yesterday. Very Saints-like. Minnesota is overrated and GB is over the hill. I think it'll probably be Detroit. The Bears aren't anywhere as good as they appeared yesterday. I mean, they lost to Washington in week 1 9-7. My money's on Detroit, but the whole group is so bad you never know.

SaintStoneyMount 09-19-2005 01:54 PM

Maybe but I'll hold off until I see what Washington does tonight. That Bear D looked pretty darn good. Just hope the Saints bring it tonight.

WhoDat 09-19-2005 02:59 PM

Yeah - but it's different when it's intra-divisional. I mean, we smacked Tampa around twice the year that they won it all. The year we started 7-2 we lost to Detroit in week 3

papz 09-19-2005 03:09 PM

I think Chicago is vastly under rated. That's a championship caliber defense as they've shown the past couple of years. If they could generate any offense at all, they could contend. I'm not saying Superbowls or anything, but better than a .500 record and a shot to surprise a few teams in the playoffs if they have to play at Soldier Field in the winter. If Baltimore won on defense alone, then anything can happen. Talent wise, Detriot definately is comparable with any team in this league. As far as the light switch turning on for these guys is a different story.
