His passes were for the most part right on the money -- his decision making was pretty good -- I would wait out the season -- I see a lot of other needs right now. I am still not particluarly happy with our linebackers -- that untouched draw play to Tiki for a 12 yrd TD. It became painfully obvious that Craft is at best a nickel back -- and I still think we need a stud DT. All of these seem to be weaker links than the QB right now.
You know, I will support your post a bit. I also believe Brooks has improved upon his game a bit this year. He is stepping up into the pocket more and he seems as if he's not playing as erratic as he used to. With that said, he still can not stop throwing that rediculous backwards pass/fumble. Maybe he should wear gloves?

He also needs to improve on reading defenses and maintaining his composure. He still throws into heavy traffic in an attempt to make something out of nothing. An incomplete pass out of bounds is better than an interception.

In a possible scenairo, What do you think if San Fran end up with the 1st rd pick? Do they trade Alex Smith or trade the pick?

I do not think that the 49ers will take the chance on a rookie QB 2 years in a row, they have other needs on both O and D and a trade would be very likley.
