5:39 PT: The Times Picayune reports the New Orleans Saints have signed street free agent RB Tavian Banks to a one-year contract. Banks has not played since suffering a severe knee injury in 1999, but he worked out for the Saints on Friday and passed his physical. He will compete with James Fenderson for the third running-back spot behind RB Deuce McAllister and backup RB Curtis Keaton.

WhoDat, a LMAO post to Gator and Pak. As cynical as I have been, I can\'t believe I have made it out without a bullseye on me. I am a Saints fan,and the organization MUST have something real special up their sleeves. Right now they are looking like the biggest pack of mentals I have seen. This free agency has been an utter joke. Gator, I know you are Mr. build through the draft. Building through the draft is fine and good, but you have to augment that with at least a few key free agents. We\'ve added none. That just doesn\'t seem like a recipe for success to me. I could be wrong... we\'ll have to wait and see.
