5:39 PT: The Times Picayune reports the New Orleans Saints have signed street free agent RB Tavian Banks to a one-year contract. Banks has not played since suffering a severe knee injury in 1999, but he worked out for the Saints on Friday and passed his physical. He will compete with James Fenderson for the third running-back spot behind RB Deuce McAllister and backup RB Curtis Keaton. |

GATOR, PAK - I\'m sick of your negativity!!! DON\'T YOU GUYS REALZE THEIR PLAN? This will be the best year the Saints have ever had. They\'re doing exactly everything right in free agency. No team has even had a better off season in the history of sports than the Saints are having right now. That\'s why I believe that this team won\'t lose a game until 2020. WhoDat, a LMAO post to Gator and Pak. As cynical as I have been, I can\'t believe I have made it out without a bullseye on me. I am a Saints fan,and the organization MUST have something real special up their sleeves. Right now they are looking like the biggest pack of mentals I have seen. This free agency has been an utter joke. Gator, I know you are Mr. build through the draft. Building through the draft is fine and good, but you have to augment that with at least a few key free agents. We\'ve added none. That just doesn\'t seem like a recipe for success to me. I could be wrong... we\'ll have to wait and see.
