What NFL assistant would you like to see...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; ...coaching our team next year? I'm a big Jim Johnson fan so I'll pick him. Another option would be Wade Phillips or Ray Rhodes. Who would you consider?...

Well, I wanted Saban last year, Weis or Crennel. We got none. I still say we grab Weis from Notre Dame. He only took that job cause noone offered him one in the bigs. Or we pluck Chow from Tennessee.

I'm a very big Chow and Weis fan, but I would prefer a defensive minded coach.

I would prefer a coach who is an expert on either side of the ball. Doesn't matter. Look at billick, supposed to ba an offensive genius. What has his offense done? He won a Superbowl with D. Look at Dungy. Supposed to be a defensive genius, he was winning with offense strictly with the Colts until this year. I think good coaching is good coaching, period. And if you have a head for football, and surround yourself with like minded smart football assistants, you can succeed no matter what niche you had carved for yourself. I think Weis and Chow are smart enough football wise to get it done being offensive experts, cause they will bring in guys who are defensive experts, and they both know talent and how to use it.
