Duece or play calling?

I believe that the problem with Duece is mostly that almost all of the runs are right into the center of the line of scrimmage. When teams are putting eight into the box, you are not going to be able to get much yardage running right into the middle of the line. In the fourth quarter against the Bills, those long runs that Duece got, he got because he bounced to the outside. I think there needs to be more runs to the outside just to keep the safeties and linebackers from blitzing up the middle in obvious run situations.

stradegy... You hit the middle time and time again to wear down the line eventually the ballon will break, plus you are eating time on the clock doing so. You also keep pounding the middle and everyone will bite and you can set up a trap even play action off of it. Its not the play calling. You would think the first play of the game would have been a run... but they threw.

Deuce has good hands too, I'd like to see him catching out of the backfield more often.

But I'm not really pleased with his production this season.

until the end of last game he has looked all year to be missing whatever it was he had before.

He's hit in the backfield half the time. There are only a handful of reasons to explain that.

1. Deuce has no vision (doubtful).
2. The o-line can't block. (maybe, also doubtful).
3. The playcalling is ridiculously predictable (BINGO!)

Our play calling is so uninspired -- and to add to that I rarely see traps, counters etc. Its all -- Deuce right/left of center. And the only time we run the draw is when its 3rd and over 10 and everyone in the stadium knows its coming.

I think we need screens to Deuce -- but as for running to the outside -- he is much better at running between the tackles north south than running east west.
