RE: I

I like how we go after players past their prime thinking they can revive their careers on a struggling team. Whatever.

Huh??

So Mike McKenzie and Dwight Smith are past their primes?

Who specifically are you referring to?

(And please don't go back more than 2 years)

Why would you restrict the guy's right to defend himself by saying don't go back more than two years? Hasn't the current regime been here 6? I would think he would at least get the amount of time the current group of coaches and GM has been here. Isn't that fair?

Az-Hakim comes to mind immediately, as does McKinnon, Conwell, Macafee, and Meier.

Of the 5, only McKinnon seems to not cost us much and adds to his role. Conwell's been hit or miss since he got here, when he's been healthy. Macafee is clearly here for leadership, certainly not his ball handling skills. Meier and Az-Hakim are just look-squaders getting paid handsomely for nothing.

Well, you can add Ambrose last year, and Dale Carter the year before. If under the entire regime, Gandy comes to mind. Norman Hand also. I was never sold on Bellamy, and was pissed we re-signed him this offseason.

Gandy and Bellamy did well in my opinion..................you're right about AA and DC though.

Agreed. My gut feeling is he's probably ready and able to prove his worth. Let me be the first to say it - our starting WR's and backups are nothing to sneeze at. A talented bunch, I must say.
