What deadline? He is a Patriot till 2004. Of couse he did not show up for his conditioning, he is not under contract, if he hurst himself lifting or what ever he has no recourse. Very seldom do players work out with the team if there is no contract, a lot of teams dont even let players work out if they are not under contract. Yes, i think a traade will be made on draft day just not with the Saints unless they move..

I\'m not sure of the time line for the picayune\'s breakdown of players. I would assume Pete Finney would be the guy to do that. Most of the news in the picayune can be found at www.nola.com. There is probably a way to email Finney and ask when it will start.

I think Flowers is just being used in all this, as in \"fine, you don\'t want what we have offered, we\'ll explore other opportunities, then.\"

EDIT: You know that Sammy is visiting the Steelers, right??

But is there really anyone else who will give NE a 2nd rounder for Jones? I don\'t think that there is... and I don\'t care what the Patriots say, they\'re not keeping $10 million dollars worth of safeties... especially when Jones will end up being a distraction who doesn\'t really want to be there. It\'s like if we had made Turley stay to play out the final year of his contract. It won\'t happen.
