BATON ROUGE -- By the close of business Monday, the Saints had sold 50,478 tickets to Sunday's game against Miami at Tiger Stadium -- and Mike Feder has felt every one of them.
Feder, the team's director of regional sales who is overseeing ticket distribution to the four games in Baton Rouge, has pinballed around the country from city to city, from phone to e-mail and between refunds and exchanges. It's his job to get people into seats after Hurricane Katrina's devastation turned the Saints into a traveling show.
It hasn't been easy -- or precedented.
"This is the new world," Feder said. "There's no model for doing this. It's a monumental task.
"We're still a little behind, but every day we're catching up."
