The point is, if the receiver did absolutely nothing, the ball should have never been thrown in his direction. Shouldn't that tell you that Brooks, obviously, had no clue what Henderson was doing.

On a timing route, you throw the ball to where the receiver is supposed to be. Where did Brooks throw the ball? He threw it in the direction where the receiver was stagnant, straight to the receiver not the route. The CB was in front of Henderson for the entire play. This tells you one of two things.
1)Either Brooks threw the ball without looking to that side of the field at all, or he never (for some reason) seen the cornerback there.
2)Brooks was intending to throw the ball over the corner's head. This would mean that it was a badly underthrown ball.

The corner never had to break on the ball, it was thrown straight at him.

I seriously doubt that Aaron Brooks would start for any other football team. I'm quite sure that not even the Houston Texans want him.

Thats all I have to say about the remainder of this subject.

It's opinion versus opinion. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It wasn't a slant if it was then he could have hit him later in the route.

you couldn't seriously have watched that play at all. First, Devery is not a rookie, this is his second year. Second, the CB ate that route up. Devery could have run through him I guess, but what the hell is wrong with asking your QB to LOOK before he throws a ball? Is that not a problem? I TIVO'd the game. Before Devery even made an inside move, the corner was already there. If Brooks had LOOKED, he would nto have thrown the ball. Just another stupid play.

Actually, it's opinion verses utter BS, so you win. 8)

It's not Brooks' fault he has one of the worst passer rating samong active starters in the league. And the worst among non-rookies, outside of Harrington who has been benched now. It's not his fault that he has committed the same stupid mistakes for 5 years now. It's never his fault. Always someone else's. Brooks sucks. He has been getting worse and worse since the all out assault on the fumble record in 2003. Brooks couldn't start for John Curtis.

I'll bet you a beer he ends up in Tampa, I know Johnny boy would drool like a wolf at sheep if he could get him.
Man, that would be awesome. Did you watch the Tampa game at the end of last year? He looks like a freaking clown until the last 4 minutes. Jon boy probably never noticed that Simeon gets 3 sacks every time he plays the Saitns cuz all he has to do is run to a spot 10 yards behind the line and Brooks will be there ripe for the sack fumble combo. I think they sacked brooks 8 times in that game. What was he doing? Running around backwards. Gimme a break dude. That's just ridiculous and totally false. There isn't a coach in the league salivating over Brooks that isn't a DC. Sure, you could show only the good plays and make an impressive mix tape. But, AB is going to make a big mistake every week....count on it.

Key words were INSIDE MOVE... he didn't go to the INSIDE

THE...CB...WAS...ALREADY...THERE.........

Let me give an everyday explanation. Say you are at the grocery store looking for a parking spot. You spot a close one and race towards it. Another car is racing towards it as well, and they get halfway in the spot before you get there. Do you A) ram them even though they are already there, or B) go to the empty spot that just opened up right across the aisle? As I said, Devery could have attempted to run over the corner, but he saw the route was jumped and attempted to break to the open area, which was the outside. Brooks threw WITHOUT LOOKING. I see that's not a problem for you with a QB. Good luck with that.

Hate to continue the subject, but you're dead wrong on that. AB is not the right fit for his current team. His lackluster approach at the game is not what this franchise can handle, because it mirrors everything around the up-down way he plays, Probowler 1 week and Bonehead the next Hall-of-Famer to Class Clown.

At the same time, when a good piece of meat is surrounded by trash it's gonna smell like everything else. There are abnout 15 teams that AB would start for. Tampa, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Arizona, Miami, Raiders just off the top of my head. And I have no doubt with a better team around would better play come from. He's just not right for the Saints, let it go it'll make you healthier.

Now you are talking from your ass. You firt make the point that everyone else makes about AB, then turn around and defend it. You are your own worst enemy. Why would anyteam want a Class Clown? Might as well start a rookie and get the same results or better? Put down the pipe and think about what you are saying before you say it.
