San Antonio Mayor Shooting-Off at the Mouth - Again

We need to show up in droves for the Tampa game in BR to shut this guy up.

Hardberger: Baton Rouge Can't Support Saints

Tue Nov 8,10:41 AM ET

San Antonio Mayor Phil Hardberger on Monday called on NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue to schedule the New Orleans Saints 2006 home games in San Antonio following poor attendance in Baton Rouge La., for the latest game.

"We put 65,000 fans in (San Antonio's) last game, (Baton Rouge) put 32,000 fans in theirs," Hardberger said. "What else do I need to say?"

Hardberger said he will enter into serious discussions with Saints owner Tom Benson after the 2005 season, hoping to bring the displaced franchise to San Antonio permanently.

But regardless of the team's long-term plans, Hardberger said San Antonio should host the Saints' six home games next season.

"I don't want the commissioner to pick and choose and give us the smaller games, and put the big games somewhere else," Hardberger said. "If you want to do business with San Antonio, you have to treat us like first-class citizens. We're not second class."

I think somebody 's gonna, or should, kill this guy.

He and Benson are made for each other, complete and total public relations nighmares. How come the National press is not getting a hold of this and squashing him I don't know.

For a guy who wants to relocate a NFL team to his city, you would think he would know how many home games there are in a season.

What an idiot, this guy just painted a huge bullseye on his chest. The national media has given Benson a lot of crap for talking with other cities, but I think the national media needs to rip this guy apart. Obviously trying to take advantage.

Apology accepted. Sometimes we stretch the rules for a good purpose. I think you just said what was on a lot of people's minds.

If I were living in San Antonio I would think twice about re-electing this f**k Stick. He has obviously not listened to what Tags has been saying. Everyone wants the Saints to play all games in Louisiana next year and that stupid idiot doesn't even have the money to fork over to Benson on a yearly basis. Do you think for one second that the state legislature is going to allow those discretionary funds to be spent on attracting another football team. I think not and that would be way to close for Jerry Jones and the Boys.

We need to stop talking about this dude, he smoked way to much of the real good shiiiiittttt when he was growing up. He obviously could afford the real good stuff and must be a spoiled rich kid and used to getting his way or a crack dealer from the eastside disguised as the mayor.

Golf and sex are about the only things you can enjoy without being good at them.

I have not voted in any TX elections since I lived here. But if this crackhead is on the ballot, I will be voting for the first time, against him.

Benson needs some leverage. Los Angeles is all but closed off to him, so without a viable alternative, he's got to have some San Antonio Schmuck (I'm going to trademark the name just in case Benson does move the Saints there) saying stuff like this.
