I'm not going to pretend that the quarterback position warrants no discussion. It does. However, I will say that some of the regulars on this board are quite sick of hearing the same topic beaten way way far past the point discussion and bordering into the realm of obsessive non-sensical drivel.

There are other things to discuss. There are even a few people discussing them. But beating a dead horse past the point of existence, not only is it annoying, it serves no purpose, it makes the poster look stupid, and it servers no other purpose than to cry out I am an immature child to the readers on this board. It's tiresome. Hearing the same old stuff week after week after week after week.

The Patriots beat our ass. The Patriots deserved to beat our ass. This is no surprise. But Carr had nothing to do with it. Neither did Jake.

Please... move on.
LOE, I agree with what you are saying, however, I think I can offer an explanation as to why it goes on and on. The problem is, IMO, that AB has played almost EVERY down since taking over in 2000. During that time he has had numerous bad games and bonehead plays. However, throughout it all, he has remained the QB. At some point in time, people began getting weary of his inconsistent play and wanted to see a change at that position, even if it were just temporary. We have seen a couple of guys leave and be fairly successful at their new home, while we keep getting the same thing week after week. No other team would ever go this far out on a limb with a mediocre QB at best. The fact that there has been no change means that we will keep having this debate and nobody will ever know if they were right or wrong. To me, it is maddening. I mean, if he were to get replaced and the next guy stunk up the joint just as bad, don't you think that might calm things down for a while, or, on the other hand, if someone came in and we immediately started being more consistent, that too would end the debate for a while...but, as it is, the debate will go on and on, IMO.
