This whole idea of getting a high draft pick does nothing for me... We have to many wholes to fill unless we trade it away for more picks.

Though that leaves us out of the Leinart/Bush range, Jimmy Williams will probably still be on the board. Oh yea baby! Hawk might be there, but I think we can get a solid linebacker in round two.

So in other words you are following the blueprint Haslett has used the past 6 years? a solid LB like Vilma? Ray Lewis?

That's why WR'S run freely throughout the mid range, and RB'S can never be stopped on sreen plays or misdirectional plays.

How about a solid linebacker like Odell Thurman, Michael Boley, Kevin Burnett, Lofa Tatupu, Kirk Morrison, Channing Crowder, etc.? Trust me, I can go on and on with this... that was just last year only. If you recall, they were not drafted in the first round yet they are all very productive... and most of them are starting right now.

There will be at least 5 first round caliber linebackers in this years draft with many others that will go in the later rounds who are just as good. I can give you a list of 10 extremely good linebackers and I can promise you not all of them will go in the first round.

Are you fighting against me, are with me? and with all those LB'S you mentioned, in which I wanted Crowder badly not that I swing like the rainbow guys. Who did we select? Did we need one of those LB'S badly?

I'm from the Jimmie Johnson school, Safeties can be made out of tweeners LB/S ala Sammy Knight, never take a OL high...The prime position for high picks, DT, LB'S, CB'S...Offense QB, WR, RB...The exception to the rule, is when the Munoz type LT is available...

Do we need another CB? no! Mckenzie, and whenever F.Brown gets his head together is great...We have a severe problem in the middle of our defense, as a lot of people knew from last year strength in the secondary does what against the run?

Let me unconfuse you, we selected Bullocks and past on how many LB'S? Denver jumped ahead of us and took DJ.Williams, year after year we field the worse LB Corp in the NFL, and you still say take a LB in the later rounds?

We took a backhanded slap at Watson with a 2nd second round pick, the first 2nd rounder was used on Henderson.

So now year 10 of the Haslett era, where I think finally, finally the LB sucks has been driven home and you want to wait to the later rounds? Our secondary ain't the best, it's middle of the pack, our LB'S and DT'S are below NFL calibre, we have DE'S playing the DT position...LB'S that can't tackle are cover...

So basically you are saying we can get an impact player in the second round? That list of linebackers I showed you are linebackers they were drafted after the first round (which is considered later rounds). Please take your time to read and analyze my post before you respond. If you cannot understand it then, I can do nothing else to explain it to you.

try this Crowder was taken with the first pick of the second round, Thurman went a few picks after...This was last year. The year before, the Vikings traded up with us to get the kid from Auburn...As far as the NFL or anyone connected with the sport, view the later rounds after the end of the 3rd.

Later rounds second day, same.

I thought since the sos was the same that we got third because of the loss to the Packers. What is the next step after sos? Anyone know.
