Where Have I Been?

That is a good question, Saintwhodi. I've actually been basking in the sunlight of another Aaron Brooks dibacle. The "MVP-type" numbers he's been putting up this season have even furthered my want for Matt Leinart. If we don't get Leinart in the draft, so be it. I just hope that Brooks is a cap casualty or trade bait for next season. I can't stand to watch this ogre on the field any longer. I'd much rather see him stink up the field for someone else than for the Saints organization. Here's where things get tricky. I can't honestly put all the blame on Brooks for this season (as much as I would like to). A no-brainer is the Saints STILL have no run-defense. Injuries have hurt the team once again. Not knowing what tomorrow is going to bring for this organization has demoralized them so bad that there is absolutely no hunger. I mean why go out there and try to win? Let's cry about Tagliabue not coming over to give us cookies and milk during our break time. I can understand that there has got to be some fatigue, but this is professional freaking football. This is what these guys train for year in and year out. They aren't a bunch of overweight slobs (unless we're talking about Sully) that huff and puff after a series or two on the field. I'm disgusted with the poor, pitiful me act from the majority of the players. I may be wrong for making this post, but with Hurricane Katrina, the horrible season by the team, and the wishy-washy attitude of Tom Benson, I've gotten to where I can't stand to even hear about them anymore. I will always be a Saints fan, because I have stuck with them through everything the last 20 years, but this season has made it impossible. If things aren't straightened out by next season, I will (I hate to admit this) change allegiences. I don't think I can go through this much longer. If I do switch, it will not be to an NFC team. I couldn't see myself rooting against the Saints. I will most likely be a Chargers fan, because I like the way they've turned it around the last couple of years. Something the Saints can't seem to do. Say I have no sympathy if you want, I'm just weary of watching a team that has been going nowhere sink even lower.

People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.
