Question Regarding Strength of Schedule

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; When a team plays another team twice, as we do TB, Atlanta, and Carolina every year, does the SoS count those teams records once or twice?...

Actually, SOS is figured off the final record when the season is actually over. So it doesn't matter how many times we played a team, it only matters what their final record is. They will just tally up the total number of wins each team's opponent had.

RE: Re: Question Regarding Strength of Schedule

True whodi, but if the season ended today then the saints would have the weakest SoS and we would get the #1 pick if Houston beats SF this Sunday...Of all the 3 win teams the Saints have the wekest SoS going into the last week...The SoS is fugured by compiling the win loss records of all the teams played counting the conferance games twice, so the Saints SoS score right now is 124-116 giving them a SoS rating of .512, this is the lowest of all the 3 win teams: Arizona, SF, and Green Bay

The conference games are counted twice, I found that out on NFL.com and ESPN.com

Yup, yup. That is correct. Like I said, total number of opponents wins, which would equal twice for our division foes.
