hey anyone with news on who we are looking to interview

just seeing if anyone has reliable news on who we may want to interview

saintswhodi 01-03-2006 12:06 PM

Childress, Tim Lewis, and Donnie Henderson have been thrown around so far. All great choices IMO.

MordorIV 01-03-2006 12:23 PM

Kubiak

jrmllb 01-03-2006 12:29 PM

That's all I have heard as well, I think they should ask permission to talk to Norv Turner...

Don't know Tim Lewis, who is he?

saintswhodi 01-03-2006 12:37 PM

Tim Lewis? Giants DC.

MordorIV 01-03-2006 12:58 PM

Tim Lewis MMMMMmmm.

spkb25 01-03-2006 04:52 PM

i don't knows about turner. the guy has been bad both times.

petejg24 01-03-2006 05:20 PM

I think Steve Maracui, will come to town to interview, and we can forget about the Redskins assistant interviewing, just signed 3 year 8 million to stay with the skins.

petejg24 01-03-2006 05:25 PM

dup

CheramieIII 01-03-2006 05:48 PM

I don't think we will need permission to talk to Turner now, since he's in the unemployment line with about 10 other coaches. Kubiak and Fassell, although I would not mind Mooch.

MordorIV 01-03-2006 06:57 PM

Mooch ????

spkb25 01-03-2006 06:59 PM

i like mooch and sherman and of course some of the cordinators

MordorIV 01-03-2006 07:00 PM

Shakespear who is mooch?

LongTimeFan 01-03-2006 07:04 PM

Lord please send us Sherman as our new head coach...

SHERMAN is the right guy for the job

spkb25 01-03-2006 07:09 PM

from san fran and detroit most recently. steve mariucci

spkb25 01-03-2006 07:10 PM

LTF sherman would not be horrible. the guy was good in green bay

ScottBalot 01-03-2006 08:02 PM

Donnie Henderson from the Jets and Jim Fassel from the Ravens

BlackandBlue 01-03-2006 08:51 PM

Fassel :dance2:

jrmllb 01-04-2006 08:26 AM

Mooch might be alright but let's not forget he has not done well with Detroit, bad decisions and those fans had to suffer 3 years of Herrington...Do we want to suffer from three years of someone like that...Mooch was only successful in SF, he had Garcia there who had not had injuries at that point, but here is the important part he had TO!!! I know, I know, but the man can flat out play...My money is on TO going to the Vikes, Jets, or the Raiders (imagine that Moss and TO on the same offense)

Give me Jimmy Johnson or give me death!!!

I've mentioned this in another thread, Mooch was stuck with Harrington, not by choice. Hard to fault an offensive minded coach, when you stick him with a QB that doesn't work in his system.

Euphoria 01-04-2006 09:32 AM

I don't want anyone who hasn't done a decent job with 2 plus teams so far so scratch Mooch and Turner. Sherman maybe but I am digging Childress...

jrmllb 01-04-2006 11:50 AM

Sherman is alright with me, but I like Kubiak's chances of being successfu in NOl...the guy is overdue for a headcoaching spot, but I think Houston has the inside track on him...and with the possibility of Houston drafting Bush I think he goes that way...

Saints | Interested in T. Lewis

Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports the New Orleans Saints have asked permission from the New York Giants to talk to defensive coordinator Tim Lewis about their head coaching vacancy. According to NFL rules, the Giants can allow teams to visit with their assistant coaches next week, even if they win Sunday's NFC wild-card playoff.

Saints | Team will interview Payton
Wed, 4 Jan 2006 06:34:06 -0800

Todd Archer, of the Dallas Morning News, reports the New Orleans Saints have been granted permission to interview Dallas Cowboys offensive assistant Sean Payton for their vacant head coaching position. A date has not been scheduled for his interview with New Orleans.
Saw this on KFFL. I'd be interested in Lewis. The Giants D has been remarkable this season. Not nearly so excited about Payton.

LongTimeFan 01-04-2006 06:31 PM

Lewis would also be a good choice, whoever becomes HC will have a lot of work to turn the Saints around.
