Anyone else think Vince Young

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd love to see vince come out and beat him for the number one pick. and after those comments i'd be afraid of drafting him. sounds a little like something brooks would say....

Zero Class.

Sounded like he's been reading his own press about being the "greatest of all time" crap. He needed to sack up and like a man admit that he got beaten. Nothing like laying the blame on another unit of the team, that's some leadership to draft onto your team.

It was a postgame interview worthy of Aaron Brooks. It ranks right up there with AB's "I'm a great QB on an average team" interview.

I heard Leinart's comment about how the better team was USC, but that Texas happened to have more poinst at the end. Yes, it was classless, IMO. He's already tasted the championship - but he didn't show much class when someone else gets to taste it.

No, I wasn't that impressed with his game. Albeit he's good, very good, I thought he put too much air under the ball on too many throws. I don't get why people are so excited about him.

Not that Young didn't get extremely lucky on that 2nd to last drive though - he should've been intercepted.

Regardless, what impressed me most about Young was how composed he remained under pressure. I mean, he shined. I think he's the type that gets better under pressure.

On that final drive, I loved the closeup they did of him in the huddle, smiling and relaxed, cheering his buddies up, relaxing them. He's a natural.

What a pleasure it was to watch that game.

can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.

Qui a laissez sortir les chiens!

How can you not like Young over Lienart? Young did more with less talent then and has more upside than Lienart. Lienart is spoiled and I don't think he would make it playing for us.

I completely agree on this. I've been watching Young play in the big 12 since he's been at Texas, but he has really come on strong this season. Tonight has just underscored how special he is.

I think the best thing I've heard about him all season was the note he posted in the Longhorn locker room last spring. "Everyone who wants to beat Ohio State next fall--come work out with me this summer." Guys were driving from all over the state to work out as a team. The guy just personifies leadership. He's a remarkable young man. I wish him every success.

Sorry guys to break it to you he WILL NOT ENTER THE DRAFT THIS YEAR he already said that last week in a press conference so he will go next year unless he gets an offer like around 80 million that would swing his head a bit.

..that was BEFORE he became the hottest name in college football since, well, Reggie Bush

I'm very impressed with Young, not only the way he plays, but how he carries himself... to quote an NFL coach, "he's got IT"

He's a tremendous athlete. I hate, hate, hate his mechanics, but it works for him, so Vince, don't let people try to mess with it, they'll only screw you up.

I can't believe the outcry after one game to draft Young. He looked awesome, but he will get killed running like that in the NFL. I'm more impressed with what Lienart did against Texas' defense, than Young did against USC's.

I heard Mike Golic get a little upset on the radio this morning in regards to Lienart and his attitude last night after the game. Mike's exact words were, "He just lost the National Championship game- give him a break. What people DON'T know is that shortly after the press conference ended, he was in the Texas locker room, congratulating the players."

The waiting drove me mad....
I don't want to hear from those that know...
Everything has changed, absolutely nothing's changed

Eddie is a....draftnik?
