Houston would be stupid

To take Bush first overall.

A scat back and dangerous return man isn't worth number 1. LenDale White is what makes that team go. He does the heavy lifting.

Leinert isn't looking great either. Seems like a candy azz.

RE: Houston would be stupid

I agree with both assessments BMG. White is the shiiiiittttt and Leinhart is an average QB at best.

saintswhodi 01-04-2006 10:11 PM

Unreal.

lynwood 01-04-2006 11:30 PM

I think Leinhart was pretty darn good. His passes were on target and he ran when he had to for positive yardage. Now Vince Young looked like a one an wreaking crew. If young comes out I wouldn't be upset to grab him. Either way I say take the available QB.

CheramieIII 01-04-2006 11:38 PM

Even Lee Corso just said that if Young comes out he would be amazed if he wasnt drafted number one.

MordorIV 01-05-2006 12:11 AM

He wont go to the draft young will go another year mark my words D.

The only problem I have with Vince Young is that he could be the 2nd coming of Michael Vick. Great athlete who just happens to play the QB position. Think back to when Vick was in college. He was shredding defenses with his passing game and his feet. He gets to the pros and proves he is NOT a pocket passer and probably never will be. Young has that same potential. Tremendous athlete who will probably run the ball more than stand in the pocket. That spells out certain injury-laden future. I may be totally wrong, but I'd rather have a pocket passing QB with the mobility to move if needed. Give me Leinart.

I'd like either team's offensive lines. They really did the heavy lifting in that game. The holes each opened were so big that Diva could have strolled through in a bikini and not gotten touched.

Bush is going to be neutralized in the NFL. Everyone's at least as fast as the Texas D and the middle of the field won't be a sieve (unless Sully's in there).

I'm not sure any of those guys are really worth the #1 pick, but I'd sure like to have Young if he were available just to put butts in seats. Trade down and get a handful of quality help. There seems to be a lot in this year's draft.

LongTimeFan 01-05-2006 05:51 AM

With Young playing as well as he did this season and last night I wouldn't be surprised if he entered the draft, with that said the Texans would be a crazy if they didn't use their first round draft on the man V. Young, the Texans have a very good rb in D. Davis, Carr on the other hand just isn't playing well, if I were the Texans I'd trade Carr for a 3rd and 4th round pick and get the talanted Young, I thought of this, how good would in be to have Young and Davis on the same team?, it could be a great thing

anyone who still wants Leinart as the second pick after that game is nuts... Yeah its only one game but a HUGE game. Actually let me rethink this, Leinart played like he was a Saints QB already. Vince Young now he is special. Passes were on the money, did what he had to do to WIN and isn't that the bottom line? I say you have to take Reggie if not you have to trade down we have to many issues to deal with. Reggie Bush is dangerous and explosive the run down the sidelines and leap into the endzone was amazing. Deuce and Reggie as a one two punch will be nice change and take a lot of pressure off our passing game. Build our O-line to be one of the best. Leinart isn't going to be the next coming to save us... he couldn't win with pressure getting to him from a good D. He didn't show me that he is that special player we need.

29-40, over 300 yards, 1 TD. 4 straight TD drives in the second half, three set up with his arm. Give me a break.

I still want Leinart, so call me nukin futs. As far as one game and a HUGE game? I'd say 2 out of 3 chances at a national title in college football still looks pretty good on a resume'.

MordorIV 01-05-2006 11:34 AM

But if you *%) about it like Leinart did last night, that shows no class, and shows also that he only wants money and a good team to play for.
