showed it again last night. right now if he comes out, he's probably the first player taken. leinart looked lost and couldn't read a defense, poor arm awful throws. vince young single-handedly beat a entire team by himself, he's already better than leinart with less experience he has to be the saints choice if they stay at 2nd.

Did you even watch the USC offense last night? He struggled a little bit in the first half, but then he hit something like 13 straight passes. He finished 29/40 for 365 yards with 1 TD and 1 Int. That's lost and unpolished? If completing 72.5% of your passes for an average of 12.6 yards per completion looks unpolished then there's something wrong with you. I don't want to take anything away from Vince Young, because he played an unbelievable game, but USC's defense is not very good. Also, you say he is so much better than Leinart? I don't know. He had a ton of yards on the ground, but his passing stats weren't any more impressive than Leinart's. In fact, he was 30/40 for 97 less yards and no touchdowns. So, yeah I'll give VY credit, he sure can make things happen on the ground. But I also don't think he would be able to just run around untouched by an NFL defense like he did against USC's porous defense. I also know that he's not as good of a passer as Leinart. That's a fact. Leinart will be a better NFL quarterback.

Vince might be the best but he will not come out this 06 draft he will i think stay in and finsh his last year, unless it's over money.

I think he stays in college, I think we are being a little hard on Leinart, I still believe he will be the better NFL qb down the line. Either QB would be an upgrade.

Almost exactly what I was thinking, Deuce. I've also heard about Leinart's weak arm, but it looked pretty good to me. I saw him throw a couple of 25 - 30 yard passes that were strikes. He may not be able to throw a 70 yard pass, but neither could Joe Montana.

That being said, the Longhorns wouldn't have been within two touchdowns of winning without Vince Young.

and the Trojans wouldn't have even been in the championship game without Leinhart and Bush. Damn I see how this works now. If Texas won because of Young and USC couldn't stop him doesn't that just make
them the better team.

Come on TD, I have never said Leinhart was crap but give Texas some respect.

Keith Jackson and Fouts stated with 2:20 left on the clock and 4th down for USC at the Texas 45, that Leinhart has the option by the direction of Pete Carroll to either attempt to draw the opponents offsides or take the snap. If he would have not taken the snap and USC would have punted they had alot better chance of winning the game, with Texas having to go the long field and not just 55 yards. With 8 seconds left on the clock and a chance to get into field goal range, don't ya think Leinhart should have thrown the ball out of bounds are into the ground for that matter to stop the clock to at least give them another play.

I saw Young drive his team with 2 minutes left on the clock to the winning touchdown on 4th down, no less and he ran it in, no less.

So I guess in a way you are saying that Young was the better player, cuz he single handedly beat USC.

if leinart is the better qb, playing with the most talented offense then why did vince young beat him? why did bush have to push the to victory over notre dame?

vince young "omg" beat leinart in leinart backyard get that through your head, now make excuses about usc's poor defense. that defense wasn't poor during the season until they met the football god vince young, he made them look piss poor.
