Saints news from profootballweekly.com
A little info from our coaching search:
The way we hear it, the Saints are concentrating their early efforts in the search to replace Jim Haslett by looking at the NFL’s top coordinators. Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson was the first of many coordinators to schedule an interview with the Saints. We hear Henderson is high on New Orleans’ list because he is a disciplinarian, which Haslett was not. At the time of this writing, our sources indicate that Cowboys assistant head coach Sean Payton is at the top of the Saints’ list. Payton has been building a solid head-coaching rÃÃâ€*’©sumÃÃâ€*’©. He was the Giants’ offensive coordinator during their Super Bowl run in 2000, and he handled play-calling duties for Bill Parcells in Dallas this season. The wild card in the coaching search is former Rams head coach Mike Martz. Martz has the kind of offensive mind that the Saints would love to have in place to handle their uneasy QB situation. Saints GM Mickey Loomis is familiar with Martz as one-time NFC West rivals. However, Martz may be out of the Saints’ price range. We hear that the Saints are thought to have talked to at least one college head coach. |

I just wonder why the Jets haven't offered Henderson the HC job being they need one since Edwards accepted the job with KC, Benson doesn't have to rush into hiring a coach, I say take his time and get it right, we as fans can't affored another 3 bad years beforing having to again hire a coach.

"The Jets are looking for someone with Head Coaching experience"
My point exactly I say keep looking |
Since when did this guy from the Jets become a top coordinator? The Jets finished 29th against the run this season. Is this the work of a top coordinator?
