Here's a mock draft for ya.....

1-Houston: Reggie Bush Rb USC: Duh. Carr is still a servicable Qb and Davis can be dealt for picks later on.

2-Dallas (from New Orleans-The Saints get Dallas’ first rounder #18, 2007 1st rounder, 2006 2nd rounder and DT Laroi Glover): Vince Young QB Texas. And you know Jerry is going to press him onto the field way too early….at least Young’s self destruction will be fun to watch from DC….

3-Tennessee: Matt Leinart Qb USC. The pick goes in so quickly that they bump into the Dallas rep at the podium.

4-Jets: D’Brickashaw Ferguson OT UVA. And the Jets fan boo! But to be frank, they will boo if the pick was Buddha, Jesus or Joe Montana.

5-Green Bay: Mario Williams DE NC State: A lot of holes on this team, no trades seem worth it, so they take Peppers Mark 2.

6-Oakland: Haloti Ngata DT Oregon. Talented player who doesn’t fit their scheme and is a luxury pick when there are clearly other problems? Typical Raiders draft pick.

7-New Orleans(from San Francisco-The 49ers get pick #18, New Orleans’ 2nd rounder and the Saints’ 3rd rounder): Jay Cutler Qb Vanderbilt. The Saints pick up a free 2nd rounder, a free 1st rounder and still get a franchise QB to build around.

8-Buffalo: Eric Winston OT Miami. Winston Justice provides more talent and value, but he’s a RT. They need a LT badly.

9-Detroit: Michael Huff S/CB Texas. They need a lot of help at a bunch of positions. Huff is the best player available.

10-Arizona: LenDale White Rb USC: Still needs an Oline to be effective, but a good value pick here.

11-St Louis: Aj Hawk LB OSU.

12-Baltimore: Jimmy Williams CB/S Va Tech.

13-Cleveland: Mathias Kiwinuka DE BC.

14-Philadelphia: Santonio Holmes WR OSU.

15-Miami: Winston Justice OT USC

16-Atlanta: Tamba Hali DE PSU.

17-Minnesota: Vernon Davis TE UMD

18-San Francisco (from New Orleans(from Dallas)): DeAngelo Williams RB Memphis

19-San Diego: Marcus McNeil OT Auburn

20-Kansas City: Rodrique Wright DT Texas

21-Tampa Bay: Jonathan Scott OT Texas

22-Cincinnati: Gabe Watson DT Michigan

23-Giants: Tye Hill Cb Cletius the Slack-Jawed College

24-New England: Laron Laundry S LSU

25-Denver(from Washington): Leonard Pope TE UGA

Washington’s first pick: #56: Manny Lawson DE NC State

26-Jacksonville: Max-Jean Giles OG UGA

27-Pittsburgh: Hank Baskett WR New Mexico

28-Carolina: Chad Greenway LB Iowa

29-Chicago: Marcedes Lewis TE UCLA

30-Denver: Chad Jackson WR Florida

31-Seattle: Orien Harris DT Miami

32-Indianapolis: Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota.

2nd rounder and Glover and a franchise QB. I would not feel bad about this at all, especially if we get one of those stud linebackers at 34.

RE: Here

Hey jegirouard, there are just as many saying we draft Leinart, only trying to prove the point that it's a crap shoot and if after the draft it's still a crapshoot, but I would rather take a crapshoot on someone who could impact the team now not in 2 or 3 years.

Ernie Sims is a strongside linebacker from FSU. Is a little undersized at about 6'0 220 pounds. Is fast and hits like a truck. Very intense. Would love for the saints to pick him up in the 2nd round. Will probably test well in workouts. There are so many LB's in the draft that a good one should slip out of the first round.
