I guess we won't get Kitna now:

Thu, 12 Jan 2006 16:23:17 -0800

ESPNews reports Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer (knee) received news from the surgeon who operated on his knee, Dr. Lonnie Paulos of Houston, that his injury is much more severe than originally noted. In fact, Dr. Paulos stated the injury is career-threatening.

A couple of months from now this is going to be in the headlines...

Carson Palmer makes a miraculous recovery thanks to Dr. Paulos who did a fabolous job helping Carson recover from his career threatening injury.

Then he'll have hundreds of athletes coming to him... clients out the ying yang.

I'm sure Carson will be fine... young, tough guy. He still has many many good years ahead of him... why couldn't we get a quarterback like him?! *Hint* *Matt Leinart*

We could still get Kitna, Palmer will be ready before the season and hopefully start the season, we still could get him D.

I think Palmer is going to be okay. He does have an injury that would probably kill most careers, but the dude is a pocket passer with a very nice arm. He is not a scrambler so his knee injury should not prevent him from regaining his previous form come opening day in 2006.

They recanted on the "career threatening" angle if u look on today's headlines. They just meant that ACL/MCL tears generally have the potential to be career threatening, not referring specifically to Carson Palmer's injury. Different players respond differently to ACL/MCL injuries.
