They think it will be Payton?

Watching the pregame on Fox and James Brown doing an interview and the guy said he thought it would be Payton.

But that Loomis said he wants a coach by Tuesday and he thought the choices had been narrowed down to Payton, Carthon and Sherman. He said the owner really liked Sherman.

i won't feel great about paton. i would feel better abvout the other 2

I think Payton would make a really good coach in N.O but my choice still remains Sherman, Sherman would turn the Saints around, maybe not in his first year but for sure the second.

Sherman is really the only choice of those we interviewed IMO. Payton and Carthon have never really done anything other than had the fortunes of being on Parcells' staff at one time.

Well it doesn't surprise me to hear people unhappy about Payton, but no matter who we pick someone is bound to be upset with the choice. I think they could do a lot worse than him. He all but had the Raiders HC position a couple of years ago before Turner came out of nowhere to snag the job. Seeing as we will probably pick Leinart, it makes sense to have a head coach that i hope will make Leinart's proper development a priority.
