Salary cap by team.

So if Howard leaves that would put us about $17 million under? I couldn't tell if the amounts included Howard or not. Does anyone know?

TEAM-BY-TEAM SALARY CAP UPDATE
Arizona Cardinals $30 million under
Atlanta Falcons -$9.9 million over
Baltimore Ravens $15 million under
Buffalo Bills $10 million under
Carolina Panthers -$1 million over
Chicago Bears $17 million under
Cincinnati Bengals $16 million under
Cleveland Browns $31 million under
Dallas Cowboys $2 million under
Denver Broncos -$25 million over
Detroit Lions $9 million under
Green Bay Packers $22 million under
Houston Texans $14 million under
Indianapolis Colts $0
Jacksonville Jaguars $17 million under
Kansas City Chiefs -$22 million over
Miami Dolphins -$5 million over
Minnesota Vikings $24 million under
New England Patriots $0
New Orleans Saints $10 million under
New York Giants $3 million under
New York Jets -$29 million over
Oakland Raiders -$30 million over
Philadelphia Eagles $7 million under
Pittsburgh Steelers -$4 million over
St. Louis Rams $16 million under
San Diego Chargers $21 million under
San Francisco 49ers $18 million under
Seattle Seahawks $21 million under
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -$8 million over
Tennessee Titans -$10 million over

The Raiders, Jets, Chiefs, Broncos and Redskins are going to have some problems in the off season.

On the other hand the Cardinals, Browns, Packers, Vikings, Chargers and Seahawks are going to have some fun.

Cher, I thought a team had a special cap space for draft picks that didn't count against he normal cap?

It has not passed the nfl comission yet. Shakespear i agree with the list but i would add Gandy and merryberry to your list. I hope we do alot of restructuring of contracts too. Sullivan, Williams, Thomas, Brooks and Craft i would keep under a new contracts or at least make them better trade material.

Hey Deuce, I hope so and I really don't know. Pakman is usually the guy to ask this sort of question. Where you at Pakman, help some brothers out.

CheramieIII 01-26-2006 06:25 PM

You asked for salary cap and here is the latest!

CheramieIII 01-26-2006 06:26 PM

and every article I have seen says we are not going to franchise Bentley and he may sign with another team, so who in the hell would we franchise then? I don't know

TheDeuce 01-26-2006 06:27 PM

Where did you find these stats at cher?

LongTimeFan 01-26-2006 06:58 PM

What I heard was if Brooks is cut we would be 17 mil. under the cap, I don't think it includes Howard..

CheramieIII 01-26-2006 07:06 PM

I forgot the link and as soon as I come across it again I will post it.

Here's the link with another mock draft showing us taking Young.

LongTimeFan 01-27-2006 05:42 AM

Cher..This link shows us to be 10 mil. under the cap so if we cut Brooks we would be right at 17 mil. under the cap, so the report I got was correct, we really ok with cap money

TheDeuce 01-27-2006 10:06 AM

I would be so upset if we took VY. But anyways, those cap numbers look ridiculous. Here's how they looked according to ESPN.com in September:

Quote:

TEAM-BY-TEAM SALARY CAP UPDATE
Arizona Cardinals $6.4 million
Atlanta Falcons $2.82 million
Baltimore Ravens $3.55 million
Buffalo Bills $3.45 million
Carolina Panthers $1.77 million
Chicago Bears $5.9 million
Cincinnati Bengals $5.73 million
Cleveland Browns $5.59 million
Dallas Cowboys $5.9 million
Denver Broncos $1.3 million
Detroit Lions $2 million
Green Bay Packers $3.9 million
Houston Texans $7.8 million
Indianapolis Colts $5 million
Jacksonville Jaguars $5.1 million
Kansas City Chiefs $3.1 million
Miami Dolphins $3.6 million
Minnesota Vikings $4.3 million
New England Patriots $1.4 million
New Orleans Saints $5.6 million
New York Giants $2.05 million
New York Jets $2.2 million
Oakland Raiders $927,000
Philadelphia Eagles $12.6 million
Pittsburgh Steelers $1 million
St. Louis Rams $6.5 million
San Diego Chargers $3.3 million
San Francisco 49ers $3.4 million
Seattle Seahawks $3 million
Tampa Bay Buccaneers $672,000
Tennessee Titans $168,000
Washington Redskins $1.96 million
So unless teams like Zona cleared up almost 24 million in cap space during the season, which I don't think they did, I'm going to say those figures might not be 100% accurate.
