Saints | Payton could bring some coaches with him to New Orleans
Tue, 17 Jan 2006 19:26:56 -0800

Jean-Jacques Taylor, of the Dallas Morning News, reports soon-to-be named New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton could bring some Dallas Cowboys assistant coaches to New Orleans with him. Payton has spoken to the Cowboys about allowing linebackers coach Gary Gibbs and offensive line coach and running game coordinator Tony Sparano to join him in New Orleans as coordinators. Each is under contract with the Cowboys, who do not have to let them leave even if the new jobs represent promotions.

RE: Some new Coaches!

I think he will and Henderson is available now since everyone is saying he won't be back with the Jets. PAYTON GET TO WORK. Ok we called Haslett "Hasbeen" what do we call Payton when he ticks us off?

My votes for "Paston", sorta like Hasbeen.

RE: Some new Coaches!

When Payton ticks us off we should just call him Payless.

Good one Matt, doesn't it feel bad to Payless. He even has his own jingle.

RE: Some new Coaches!

Hopefully ALL new coaches. Do you guys realize that we have the chance to have a totally new regime in place as far as coaching staff goes??? This means NO VENTURI, who is the last link to our past 15 or so years of futility besides Benson. OK all of the years weren't bad but most of them were horrible. I see this definitely as a new beginning.

We will find out if Payton is a puppet or not when or IF he fires Venturi!

Venturi's firing would be a excellent example of how to throw the baby out with the bathwater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good ridence and don't let the door know hit you in the arse! IMHO
