Anyone who thinks Brooks could take on a mentoring role is just not looking at this thing right. Paycut with the Saints? I seriously doubt it. There are starting jobs out there for AB and there is no reason for him to stay.

I am tired of Brooks, but I am objective enough to know that he is still one of the top 32 QBs in the league, which means he should still seek a starting job. I mean watching some of the backups this year (Bouman included) at least showed me that Brooks is a starter somewhere. Teams like AZ, MIA, BAL, OAK, BUF......could possibly be interested. They can have him...but someone will pay him better than the paycut he would take here, IMHO. And to that I say HAUL A$$.

Maybe McCarthy will grab him and they can continue their sexy little love affair.

Payton also said that a QB has to be smart & tough with leadership qualities.

Well say what u will about AB, even the most biased person cannot deny that the guy is tough. He still needs to go though.

mccarthy brought brooks with him from greenbay...brooks actually performed well under the first years of mccarthy...maybe he will want to take brooks with him back to greenbay.

sounds like lienfart after the national championship loss, blaming his defense. saying how they beat themselves and texas was not better. going from brooks to lienfart would be like going side to side. the same idiot different tan.
why do they still allow you here, is a mistery to me...

.. there is a BIG, HUGE difference between sticking microphones in the face of a a 22 year old 10 minutes after he lost the biggest game of his life, and he saying "the defense couldn't stop Vince Young", which was true, versus a 29 year old, 6-year NFL veteran QB, in a routine interview prior to a regular season game, calling himself "great" when it is PAINFULLY obvious he is not even good... HUGE difference.
