Would someone give me a synopsis?
 

Hello peeps. Got a favor to ask...

I've been outta touch lately, way out of touch. I'm in England, traveling like mad, working like nuts. Haven't had time (or the means) to check the board. And I know I've missed a LOT of news. I've been so disconnected that I didn't even get to see the Superbowl. Hell, I didn't even find out who won until two days later.

So...

Would someone be kind enough to give me a quick synopsis of what's going on with the team? All I know right now is that Payton is the new head coach, and that Venturi is gone, sacked I imagine? - (which is GOOD GOOD GOOD NEWS!!).

Don't worry you didn't miss anything... I watched the first quarter and it got so boring, I watched Beauty and the Geek the rest of the way. Don't say anything, I know... but that's how boring the Superbowl was. Even the commercials weren't all that great... actually very disappointing.

Looks like Brooks is going to be retained for next season as Payton is trying to revive his career. Bentley doesn't want to be here but what's new about that. We have a whole bunch of new coaches which is a breathe of fresh air... hopefully it will stay fresh. Too early to tell what we are going to do in free agency because we need to concentrate on the draft first. Not really any news on Deuce or Howard becoming a free agent.. You really haven't missed much... well I don't know about the politics such as the early escape clause and all that other stuff that doesn't really interest me. So someone else probably will give you a quick roundup of that stuff. Things should start heating up mid March closer to draft time.

Sounds like you have an interesting job... traveling the world and such. Have fun if you can manage some free time.

The NFL wanted the state to reduce the early out penalty by 20 million and that was the exact amount that they pledged to New Orleans to help rebuild the superdome. Rumor has it that over 20,000 season tickets have been committed to already. I have a friend that knows someone, that knows someone, if you know what I mean.

You are welcome dude and you need to make private time for yourself each day to surf the board more. From the looks of your avatar you have alot of girlfriends so they will just need to understand.
