RE: A good read for Cutler fans.

We could go on like this until the draft happens, but my point is just like Mel Kiper has said, this guy hasn't DONE anything to prove that he's the best quarterback in the draft. If anybody can tell me why he's the best, and what he's done to prove it, then hey, I'll listen. But saying he has an impressive bench press or that his stats are like Dan Marino's doesn't make me believe that he's worthy of a number two pick. Anybody agree with me?

skip the #2 idea all together for us. he is a 5 -7 guy but the hype might make some one bit in the top 5

RE: A good read for Cutler fans.

I wouldn't get him with the 2nd pick. I honestly don't see us having it. If we would get him, we better move down some before we do. I have seen him some on TV, and he does stay cool under pressure, and always the same demeanor. I would rather draft D or OL like Euphoria, because thats where we need it most. Hawk, Brick, Davis (maybe) is ok, but I really wanna trae down before we mess up and actually DO take Young or Cutler with the #2, which would be stupid.

You are right zach, it would be ABSOLUTELY stupid to take Cutler with the number two pick. As for Euphoria, why does anyone listen to this guy? He says Leinart can't win the national championship, and he has done just that. You have to ignore people like that who will cloud facts just to get their point across. Anyone who thinks Cutler should be drafted at number two has no business talking about the draft at all. Period. This kid has doe NOTHING to jump ahead of MAtt Leinart. These are prob the same people who would have taken Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning. Easily impressed by workouts and potential.

RE: A good read for Cutler fans.

Deuce I understand you trust Kiper's word and why not the guy seems to have the authority on the matter but he is not in fallable. I wish I could see what he said about a guy like Heath Shuler when he left Tenn. The Redskins picked him with their third pick in the first round. I can assume that the reports on the guy were extremely positive and all. But in the end....well...you know. My deal here is character. I simply like Cutler's attitude a lot more than the others. Outside of the fact that he has the tools to succeed... with what I saw him do in Vandy (which wasn't much but it looked good to me.) and how he has approached the NFL situation makes me feel like this guy has the leadership skills needed to succeed. Especially with the Saints.

One more thing...I will not by any means be upset if we do get Leinart. Good for us if we do....he has proven that he knows how to win. The deal for me is that the NFL is different and I just feel that Cutler's character would benefit the Saints more. Remember this is New Orleans...the fans here are loyal but after so many years of futility...they also expect results. Cutler seems like the type of guy that can handle the pressure this city imposes on the team. Again, this is obviously my opinion.

TRADE DOWN. If we end up with Cutler at number 7 with more picks in hand, I will sing the guy's praises. But as long as Leinart is on the board, all he is gonna get from me is a "Who the f**k is Jay Cutler?"

Actually, NO. And Eli was and should have been the number one pick and Roslinsberger(hope I spelled right) should have went number 2, according to my thoughts and what I was watching two plus years ago.

I am in the trade down camp but only down to say seven at the deepest and go defense or D'Brick because lord knows we need as many picks to fill holes in this draft and there is alot of quality and POTENTIAL impact players that will be availible in the first three rounds.

If we go QB early I'd prefer to see Cutler.

We know where you stand and am happy about that.
