I'm all for signing a bunch of 30-somethings since youth and potential are so overshadowed by declining skills and high injury potential.

I'd take Brown before I take McGinest. Willie is strictly a 3-4 player, while Brown had a down season because he couldn't make the switch from 4-3 to 3-4. He's a solid 4-3 guy, who although old, can still contribute. But I'd rather not have either one of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Chad Brown in his peak when he was in the Steeler's 3-4 defense under Jim Haslett?
