Jacox released Stoutmire signs
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I saw this on neworleanssaints.com just passing it along. Stoutmire is a saftey we need a cornerback to play along side of MM. The report also said we cut Kendall Jacox today...

Isn't Stoutmire getting up there in age... weird signing. What's the purpose of having both Bellamy and Stoutmire? I guess this move translates into the release of Bellamy... Stoutmire is slightly better in coverage. I was always a Jacox guy and never thought he deserved all the stuff people said about him. That year where he and Holland started together was the season in which Deuce had a monster season. Good luck fella.

Isn't Mel Mitchell a FA? If so I think the move to sign Stoutmire is in reference to losing him. More than likely the saints are planning to draft a safety to replace Bellamy.
