Anxious For Schedule

Looking at the pponents on tap this year I decided to configure the best schedule possible IMO. First home game will not be until week three 9/24 against ATL as announced.

Wk# Date HOME/Away
01 09-10 @Green Bay weakest team away, GB before cold, notch a win
02 09-17 @New York Giants, payback for last year's "home" game
03 09-24 FALCONS homecoming!
04 10-01 49ERS weakest home opponent, more wins, confidence, momentum
05 10-08 @Cleveland before hard winter
06 10-15 @Pittsburgh ditto, gotta face them sometime
07 10-22 RAVENS get tuned up before divisional shootouts
08 10-29 @Carolina '05 repeat hopefully
09 11-05 @Dallas Parcells wishes he wouldn'r have recommended Brees to Payton
10 11-13 REDSKINS Monday Night (they love Wash) Nation gets to see Saints turnaround
11 BYE rest-fine tune before stretch run
12 11-26 BUCANEERS after bye, nice 3 weeks at home, one week off
13 12-03 @Atlanta Vick injured again
14 12-10 BENGALS Evening National TV Game, 2 most turned around franchises now contenders
15 12-17 EAGLES division leaders clash, nice 4 of 5 games home with bye rest
16 12-24 @Tampa Bay Christmas Eve in sunny FL
17 12-31 PANTHERS New Eve Party in Dome celebrating, fans no longer call for Jake

Well they should they were the second worst team in the league last year. Playing the AFC Central and NFC east along with division opponents does not help, But our division still has to play those same teams and we luck out with Green Bay and the Niners based on our fabulous season last year. The Falcooons Panthers and Bucs do not get that luxury

Just by the very statistical nature of being 3-13 makes all of the teams that we have a repeat date with have a higher winning percentage - unless you removed their win (or loss) against the Saints to neutralize that effect...
