this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; lb ahmad brooks dismissed from team, anyone thinks he will go in the supp draft later this summer? think we we have a shot, he is a real good linebacker... we sure as hell could use him...

But if he goes into the supplement, wouldn't we have to give up our first next year or something like that? If not, take him. Brick and Brooks? Yes! UVA ogether again haha.

Yeah I'm not sure about those kinds of rules, but I do know that this kid is a realy good player. I think he's actually the best LB coming out of a UVA group consisting of Kai Parham and Darryl Blackstock. I'd be interested, but I'm not sure if he's one of those 3-4 guys that UVA loves putting out.

spkb25, you're sort of right. The Supplemental draft allows you to skip a round, so most supplimental players are taken in later rounds (5-7) so you don't lose much. |

So does anybody use their first round pick on a supplemental pick? It seems like everybody would skip at least he first four rounds before they gave up a regular season draft pick....
