I think that's fair. We have to earn respect. What reason do they have to believe we will be good? Columnists are tired of picking their "sleeper" teams only to be wrong.

I have to admit I have to agree with them... we haven't done much to improve this team. The only thing we have going for us is the element of surprise and that will only last a few games. The B-word wasn't the only reason we lost games, OL, DL, secondary... we totally sucked. Might want to start looking at who we are going to draft with the 3rd pick in the 2007 draft.

That link just goes to a page for Sean Payton with no ratings yet for him. However they did have an article for him and the other new coaches and didn't say much at all, other than Drew Brees being an upgrade over what's his name.

I think he was trying to tell us about the -21 in turnovers which may have been from last year or certainly a typo, cuz I don't know anyone who is predicting that shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!
