Denver's #15 and #22 gets them to the #4 spot at best. The equivalent of a #25 pick would be needed to get to #2. By the charts it would take their #61 2nd rounder and 2007 1st rounder added to #15 & 22 to be about right. Very spendy unless they were targeting a QB as the franchise's future. A good example of how closely teams follow the guide values (with the team wanting to move up paying a premium) is the painful 2003 NO draft. They traded #17, 18, & 54 (2210pts) to move up eleven spots from #17 to #6. (1600pts). Essentially they gave away the equivalent of a #30 pick to be able to have Sullivan. In the same draft NYJ traded #16, 22, & 116 (1992pts) to get pick #4 (1800pts). The most realistic option for a team that low to move up is to add a current player. Denver does have 3 top notch LBs and 2 solid OTs that would make such a trade much easier. I think a more likely scenario is if they wanted a QB is to take one between picks 4 & 6 which their two first rounders could buy.

Yeah they could, check out First and Gold Edition 18 dated March 20, 2006. Boy when everyone got a gander at that they started jumping on the Denver trade scenario bandwagon even Mike Detiller.
