thank you. it's good to see some logic from time to time. some of you overrate Grant just a tad.
Maybe some have over-rated Grant's abilities, but I wasn't all that enamored with Walker before his injury. Now? How many offensive staters do we need coming off of major injuries? Regardless, I just don't know that even without his injuries that we take Walker and put him in the mix with Horn, Stallworth and Henderson when we know we have a good DE in Grant. ("Good" is not an over-rating.)

He is good, but we ought to balance his goodness. He's a good to very good pass rusher when he's playing well. He's average against the run.

Um, didn't he have like 78 tackles year before last? That is a HUGE number for a DE. I think some of ya'll underappreciate a guy who the two seasons prior to last year, had over 20 sacks, was the tackle leader on the defensive line, and beat out most of our LBs, and was asked to play DT on passing downs this season with NO space eater next to him, as well as facing constant double teams. Give me a break.

Also, maybe I remembe wrong but it seems like Walker has had only one good year in his career and he immediately began hold out talk and such. One elite year does not make him an elite player. I'd still rather have Grant.

Yeah, pull the trigger, shoot yourself in the foot. Stupid trade, a healthy, very good player for a petulant, severely injured one year wonder.

Please tell me what Walker brings to this team. He was not the second comming of Stearling Sharpe in Green Bay.

Grant is by no means lazy and is a very solid Defensive end. He plays with emotion is always around the ball and follows plays. Watch some game film and you'll see that.

This is an idiotic trade. Walker is no better than Stallworth, and Donte knows the sytem and is faster NO way on this trade

I'd say go for the trade. I'd take Walker in heartbeat and draft williams. Our recievers would upgrade and so will our D-line.

Offensively, Horn gets the bulk of the double teams as did Walker for one year and was solid the year before that which was only his second year. With Horn, Walker, and Stallworth you can't name a better recieve corps than that. Walker is also big and physical and could get YAC. Yeah, he got injured. So, did Horn Stallworth, Brees, McAllister, Bennett and just about every tight end we have. One injury doesn't make a man injury prone.

Defensively, we would upgrade by getting Williams, a freak such as Peppers. With Williams and Smith, we would have one of the best DE tandems in the league. Sounds good to me.
