Improving as a blocker and is adequate right now but can still get better in that area

Also had a good season as a blocker
the knock on the guy is his size, and the adverse affect that can have on his blocking. i'm not seeing a horrible blocker when i watch game footage, do you? i see a guy who is average at blocking, but that is something he can upgrade tremendously at the next level.

I like what I heard in the fact he is not a modern style blocker. He is an old fashion smash mouth blocker. technique you can teach attitude you can not. Besides Defenses will be thinking about jamming him at the line. he will have the upper hand most of the time. If he is to block a LB that poor guy is thinking he can not let him get behind me. upper hand goes to Davis. I love the problems he causes the opposing defenses.

Maybe you misunderstood what I posted as my opinion on the matter. It wasn't. I have no opinion about Davis' blocking cause I have only seen one or two of his games, and I damn sure wasn't watching for his blocking technique during them. I was just giving you the opinion of people who actually get paid to scout this info, and suggesting you could e-mail them to see why they felt that way. I don't know why there was the need to get confrontational.

I've watched a couple of Maryland games myself and I never even knew the guy existed. But as far as his blocking, Maryland was a pretty good running team I thought so his blocking can't be as bad as some say.

I'll tell you what though, there is no way in hell I am getting behind any thought of drafting a tight end high with all these stud defenders in this draft. That's crack head thinking.

I'm sort of with WhoDi.

I'm openly hating on Davis. He's like the shorter, slower, less athletic Matt Jones. It's way too high to consider him at #2 or even the top 5. He will probably go in the top 10, but I think that's too high for the TE position.

I'm with B&B on this--Klopfenstein would be a great pick.
