The team as a whole had a down year, and I'm not willing to cast him aside yet. Realistically he is in the last year of his contract, so if there is an indication that there will be no negotion, then and only then would I look to unload him and not follow the path of Howard.
More solid argument. Where ya'll been? 8)

At least FanNJ had the nuts to say he had a down year. Taylor, Howard, and Kearse never had down years...they were injured. Grant played 16 games last year. If you think he has been our most consistent offensive lineman after knocking 10 sacks off of his previous total, then you and i have a difference of opinion in the defintion of consistency.

Some of the other to DE youre talking about struggled in their 4th seasons too. Kearse 2 sacks, Taylor 2.5 sacks, and Abraham 6 sacks. He has been the most solid lineman weve had for a couple of seasons. I cant see why anyone would want to get rid of a guy who before a down season for the enire team avg. 58 tackles and 9 sacks a season.

He had a down year numbers wise as did the entire team..Period.. I expected nothing from them after week four. And that's exactly what we got. The entire team was riddled with lack of enthusiasm. It was a season that no other team has had to endure, so I will right last one off because of that. If there is the inkling that he is not going to be back and something can be got for him, by all means do so so there is no cancer. If he wants to stay, then he will prove his worth on the field of play this season, there are no excuses. But, I will say that I have seen every game minus one over the past three seasons and have been to quite a few, three last season, alone, and he rarely if ever takes a play off. But arguing over last season I find pointless, because given the circumstances preforming at 100% did not occur and I for one could at least reconise that.

Oh, I am sure. All I see is some very selective editing, but nothing I didn't expect. I have been down this road before with mods abusing their authority. Wouldn't a PM have served the task just as effectively?

just talk football. Everyone on here is a diehard saints fan. everyone here wants to speak their mind. I respect people's opinions, and i expect some of you to debate my points, this is all good fun. Just talk football. You know who the victim is in all of this...Charles Grant. How do you think he feels? Think about that.
