here's my take...
 

well, boys and girls, it certainly has been a while since i posted last... but never mind that... i love hawk and prior to the fujita and simmons signings really thought that he should be that pick (even at #2.... so what if a LB goes #2)... since then the consensus pick is mario williams b/c he may (or may not) be the best defense player of the draft... this creates a big problem for the saints imo... too much money tied up at one position (just like last year's DE situation if you ask me)... if we draft leinart it will be the same situation, too much money at one position doesn't allow for a team to be balanced, something the saints have not been for quite a while now... that leaves d'brickashaw ferguson, who i think the saints should draft... the reason is simple... he is a franchise LT that will probably play for about 13 years and will spend a majority of his Feb. in Honolulu... LT's like ferguson don't come around very often...

i also feel it is imperative that we trade down, and i feel one the smoke clears that the jets will realize that they really want leinart, so do the titans, and it will take a trade to get him... it just very hard to distinguish fact from fiction coming out of all the FO's in the league right now... this is probably the most secretive draft i can remember... i have confidence that our new regime will handle this draft very well, b/c well you really can't miss on any of the top 5 picks this year so we'll see how it goes
