The Trade Offer Thread--Per KFFL

49ers | Saints asking price high for No. 2
Fri, 28 Apr 2006 23:36:02 -0700

Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports the San Francisco 49ers are trying to trade up with the New Orleans Saints to the No. 2 spot in the NFL Draft, but the Saints asking price is high. The Saints are asking the 49ers for their No. 6 pick, plus the extra first-round pick they have at No. 22 and next season's first-round pick.

Jets | Saints asking price high for No. 2
Fri, 28 Apr 2006 23:35:35 -0700

Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports the New York Jets are trying to trade up with the New Orleans Saints to the No. 2 spot in the NFL Draft, but the Saints asking price is high. The Saints are asking the Jets for one of two packages, according to an agent who represents one of the draft's top players: The Jets' pick at No. 4, plus their first-round selection at No. 29 and their first-round pick next season or the Jets' pick at No. 4, plus their first-round selection at No. 29, their second-round pick at No. 35 and their second-round pick next season.
OK, these appear to be the base offers.

Jets | Team yet to make a formal offer to the Saints
Sat, 29 Apr 2006 07:13:02 -0700

ESPN reports the New York Jets have yet to make a formal offer to the New Orleans Saints for the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft. There is some pressure on the Jets to do anything possible to land USC RB Reggie Bush.

Titans | Team debates moving up to No. 2
Sat, 29 Apr 2006 07:11:48 -0700

ESPN reports the Tennessee Titans are giving some thought to moving up to the No. 2 pick in today's NFL Draft to select USC RB Reggie Bush.
Interesting that the Titans are giving this some thought. If the Titans don't take a QB, that could really trigger an interesting slide for someone.

Saints | Team looking at two options
Sat, 29 Apr 2006 07:04:20 -0700

ESPN's Ed Werder reports the New Orleans Saints apparently have narrowed their options for the NFL Draft to selecting USC RB Reggie Bush or trading out of the pick.
This headline was hysterical to me. I laughed when I read it.

I'd be content with the Jet's 2 First rounders (4, 29) and their 2nd rounder and 3rd????? or is that their comp pick????

I love it. Either pay us out the a** for the best player in the draft or we're taking him. That's hard nose bargaining. If they want him bad enough, they'll give up the "Ricky Williams" deal like we did. If not, Deuce's fat a** will actually have to get in shape & earn his spot back!

The Saints are asking the 49ers for their No. 6 pick, plus the extra first-round pick they have at No. 22 and next season's first-round pick.
1600 + 780 + 800 = 3180
wow i thought both 1'a,4 and a 2 (07)
1600 + 780 + 100 + 400 = 2980
here we settle on Davis or Huff
add a #2 next year for a bush and you get 3380

Jets for one of two packages, according to an agent who represents one of the draft's top players: The Jets' pick at No. 4, plus their first-round selection at No. 29 and their first-round pick next season or the Jets' pick at No. 4, plus their first-round selection at No. 29, their second-round pick at No. 35 and their second-round pick next season.
1800 + 640 + 800 = 3240
1800 + 640 + 550 +400 = 3390
another wow i had 1 (4), 2 (35), 3(71)
1800 + 550 + 235 = 2825
Here we settle for AJ/Dbrick
add a #2 next year for a bush and you get 3285
think these reports are bunk! Why would you ask more from the Jets tan San fran? Reverse the asking prices and they make more sense
