Texas Irony

What if on draft day the Texans called and said you can have the #1 spot IF you giv us Michael Bennett. Deal done in two seconds. They would have been laughed at even more than they were for going with Mario. Reality is that it is even worse- They pay #1 price for Williams, we get Mistuh Wunderfull dropped into our laps at the two spot and now the Texans want to give us something for Bennett. Does anyone sense the football gods have finally chosen to show some favor to our raggedy franchise?

This is basically my LeCharles Bentley, Jeff Faine scenario. Would it look foolish if we traded down 9 spots in the second for Jeff Faine and gave Cleveland Charles Bentley and the second pick in the second round? It's pretty much the same thing.

Wow, I forgot they signed Antowain. But neither Antowain or Bennett are Bentley caliber players. Still, it's pretty funny.

It's gotta be on a Houston forum somewhere...

Texans Reject Bush, Want Saints subs Bennett and Smith Instead

Not gloating in their loss but it is nice to see other front offices stealing the headlines for boneheaded moves. Living in the NW at the time, I had to endure a lot of taunting when Dale "Cokey" Carter was signed (among other moves).

It's a hypothetical, kinda like the opening paragraph saying:
What if on draft day the Texans called and said you can have the #1 spot IF you giv us Michael Bennett.
This didn't happen, just like what I said didn't happen.
