Now, soon as the first camp report comes out saying he completed all first team drills with the offense with no problems, i'd be the first to change my vote. But not til then.
If we still had Brooks, I promise you that I would vote for Delhomme.

This is why I hate opinion polls. People will always pick their own team's player. I'd pick Delhomme, for the simple fact Brees has not thrown a pass yet. You're saying that if Brees starts he's the better QB. So, in your opinion Brees is the better QB. Why again wouldn't you vote for him? It's an opinion poll yes, but at the same time it's a speculation poll asking, "Who's (going to be) the best QB in the NFC South?"

But to be fair, if Brees name was up there for a question of best in the league, I wouldn't vote for him over Manning(s), Brady, or Roethlisberger.

I'll bet you a pint of nestea (Spiked by you know who) that come season end, his numbers are better than DelHomme's.
Ok, just playing devil's advocate here, but what if he never throws a pass in the NFC South? God forbid, and lord I hope I am not jinxing us, but we don't know. And that's my thing. Right now, until Brees throws a pass in camp, Delhomme is better. But when that first pass comes, as I said, i'd move it to Brees. His accuracy alone makes him better than Delhomme. But they are both leaders. And don't kid yourself, if Jake was our QB during this past season, he would have been right out front like Brees has been. He is a natural leader.

I'm saying I wanna make sure Brees is okay to throw passes before annoint him QB King of the NFC South. That's all.

There is only one choice, and that is Jake Delhomme. Maybe Drew Brees will catch him, but for now my money is on Jake. Forget Simms and Vick, they do not even come close to Jake. The main reason Steve Smith is the best WR in the NFL is because of Jake. Jake is also going to make Keyshawn into a great WR again. OMG - Carolina is going to be great in 2006...
