For chRxis, its because there's Byrin, Garrard, and Gray there, there's no reason for them to add another

I wouldn't mind taking a look at the hagan was talking about, we took a chance with Fife

McPherson was doing excellent before he got hurt, he was definitely gonna make it over Bouman

If Payton takes too many notes away from Parcells, he'll let go of Brees if he couldn't get healthy enough, Parcells did the dumbest thing by lettin go of Carter, he was the one who got CB's to the playoffs...And have they been their since???

dumb to let go of carter? no that was a great move... the man was a coke addict for christ's sake.... he wasn't the reason they were in the playoffs.... a man named emmitt smith still had plenty left in the tank at that time and he had plenty of reason to be credited with why they went to the playoffs... not too mention their defense was very stout then, but they had lost some players since

Their D is stout now, and they have TWO great RB's now that can both produce big #'s

Whats the problem been then???

Between the Saints' scrimmage and their lone preseason game, their offense has accounted for three touchdowns — two of them on passes by reserve quarterback Todd Bouman and one on a pass by Jason Fife.

The plan is for Bouman to start the second half and play well into the fourth quarter after starter Drew Brees calls it a night.

I get the feeling that Bouman is more comfortable in Payton's offense, than he was in Haz's. I know A-Mac is hurt, but I get the feeling that if he makes the team it won't be at QB.

Bouman will be a solid no. 3 for us.

Hell no! Bouman stinks, if you think back the guy always does a excellent job during the PRESEASON look who hes playing against, a 3rd and 4th team D, in a real game he'll throw his normall #'s

5-25, -yds, 2 TD's, 5 picks

5 completions are picks and 2 TD's are retuned from picks

bouman would be a solid 3 for us.... if he plays vs. the opponents 3rd string.... fact is, when bouman plays vs. 1st or 2nd string players, he falters, b/c he's not good.... simple.... plain as day.... we signed him b/c he played good in one game where he came of the bench for culpepper one time... that's wishful thinking on our part to think that he can then replicate that performance on a week to week basis....

I'm perfectly happy with a proven vet backup like Martin and a youngster in development like AMac. If Brees goes down we are SOL no matter who else would be here.

Saints don't need to take STUPID gambles...

To chRxis, Bouman stunk! You just said it yourself, he's not good...
Bouman has been getiing beat out by AMAC in every single category...Speed, Accuracy, Strength, arm strength, toughness, pocket pressance, and more...I've seen it at camp, Bouman has been getting dwongraded before Martin even came in, and Fife has been even pitching in on his down-well no fall b/c he never was high

that was my point d24.... did you not get it? i absolutely abhor bouman.... why we ever signed this loser befuddles my mind... i was saying that unless he plays against basically the nfl's equivalent to a high school football team, he doesn't look good.... he looked good the other night but that was against a 4-12 team's 3rd string.... now do you see what i'm saying?
