Yes! I've always been a Nate Wayne fan (at least when he was in Green Bay)... I like the way he hits. Hopefully he can return to form... he could be a nice asset to our defense. If anything, he provides solid depth to our core.

RE: WWL: Nate Wayne signed

looks to be more coming to try out:
“We’re going to have some guys in here within the next three or four days at least three of four different guys we’ll look at. We’ll pursue free agents, we’ll pursue guys on other teams, said Payton after this morning’s practice

I saw him today at practice but he didn't have his name on his jersey yet. They gave him number 58 I think. He's a good sized fellow. I'll watch him and see how he does.

If he can help then that is good. At least they have depth.

This is an ok, if unspectacular signing IMO. Our LBs look about the same to me as they have the last few years. I like Fujita, but we always seem to have one guy who can play - unfortunately, we need three.

How has Fincher been looking?

I've heard nothing but good reports about him. He running the 1st string. He's got all the tools, he just needs to adjust from small school to NFL. Not an easy adjustment.

He's a thumper with good speed and enthusiastic.

He was the 1st to ask coach for a playbook. Coach basically told him to chill, he'll get one when everyone else does. LOL.

I think we're all scared of Fincher simply because he's such an unknown. I'll be watching him Saturday night.
