Horrible

The saints looked horrible. Although its one bad game, I don't care. I bet many people are wondering why they spent their FEMA money on season tickets. Should have just fixed ur house. Drew Brees looks bad. Our defense. Well, I'm used to them smellin up the place. Our DE's better get some pressure. Brees needs to play a lot in the next two games to get a rhythm going. He's attempted what, maybe 15 passes in the preseason. The Cowboys scored on drives of 77, 87, and 56 yards in the first half. WOW! We need to establish starters and leave them in there. Let them gel. Switching them up is not getting it. Branch, aside from his fumble, would get my game ball. Bouman looked good. I can't believe I just said that! Sorry. Just another die hard fan coming to grips with the obvious. Another long year.

Well I was dissapointed about the game toooo YEAH UM who did we take 13 selection in the draft last year yeah um...... he sucked that game that was pitiful he got killed. WR colston gets my game ball think this kid will be something special he can catch...... Drew Brees threw the TD pass lil to far away he tried to reach but ........ but there was some positive..... Reggie Bush cuts up the field like a mad man and I think the Play Action we will be doing alot this year seemed to work....... but the DEFENSE COME ON COME ON that was sry........ I mean looked horrible...........

I just want a pass rush... Is that so hard to find.... Apparently....

My game ball would go to Rob Ninkovich. He played well. Other bright spots were Jammal Branch, Marques Colston, Roman Harper, & Joe Horn.

Guys that get the finger were Jamaal Brown, Mike McKenzie, & the entire 1st team LB unit. They all sucked! Brown got b**ch slapped around by DeMarcus Ware. What the hell is he gonna' do against the elite DE's in the NFL south. He needs a swift kick in his a** for his shabby performance. McKenzie got abused. He was a step late on every play. He is a good #2 CB, but he proved to me tonight that he is not a legitimate #1. The LB unit looked lost. They never moved up in supporting the run, couldn't tackle worth a damn, & sucked against the short pass. I want to be optimistic because we have alot of firepower, but our defense couldn't stop a parapelegic & our 1st team offensive line looks every bit as bad as the one that ruined Archie Manning's career. Sooner or later, we will have to re-evaluate our starters on the OL. Archibald & Strief have been dominant so far in the preseason......let them start & see how they do. They cannot do any worse than J. Brown & company. As for the LB's, get some help & quick!!! It's time to make the move for Donnie Edwards. He may be up in age, but at least he can play.

My Game Ball goes to anyone who was able to watch this debacle/game to the end and have something positive to post.
Of course the "Game Ball" would be a Straight Jacket.
Thanks for playing and congratulations on your removal from reality.
Buh-Bye!

I wouldn't say the performance was horrible, I do believe our performance was ghastly.

That was a pretty poor performance tonight. I'll go through a few of my observations:

1. Pass defense- awful. There was no pressure put on one of the most immobile QBs in the game today, not to mention one of the weaker OLine groups around. Mike McKenzie was getting beaten like a dirty rug. He looked piss poor. Fred Thomas made some nice plays on run support, but he was nonexistent defending passes. Jason Craft was awful as usual. This unit better pick it up or we're going to be doomed.

2. Rush defense- pretty good. We held both Julius Jones and Marion Barber under 3.1 ypc. DLine did a pretty solid job standing up their counterparts and clogging up the line. I would be pleased if they played that well every game this season.

3. Colby Bockwoldt- please cut him. He's awful. Takes bad angles, isn't aggressive, just looks like he plays scared and isn't willing to lay a big slobberknocker on somebody.

4. Play calling- looked a little timid. It was actually really boring. What did we have three straight three and outs? I hope that Sean is just holding is cards close to his chest during the preseason so that when the regular season starts he can surprise everybody. I hope...

5. Brees- looked a little out of it. I know it's just the preseason but he was making bad passes out there. Are we ever going to be able to run a screen with this team?

6. Madden 2007- pretty good. Reggie is sick nasty. Deuce isn't fast enough to bust anything outside. Very generous ratings.

Well, I may have once again over shot my mouth. Not only do we need a linebacker...we need a corner...no two corners, and linebacker in a pear tree,,,,,, Jeez....... the offense will have to Average 35 a game to offset the 34 the defense will give up...BUT.........there were bright spots, and we all knew that this was going to be a different team, with a new coach and a new philosophy. A lot can....and will hopefully change when you compare game 2 of the preseason with game 16 of the regular season. Let's not jump off the Huey P. Long just yet.

Respect my authori-tie

ummmm, positives - the special teams units played better, and as far as I know, we didn't have any major injuries in the game. The team seemed flat tonite. I'm just not sure what the D was trying to do. Even if we were just calling plays and trying things out, you'd think we'd get a stop one in a while by accident.

Well the big positive is that this is the right time to have this game. The team knows now for sure they have a lot of things to work on before start of regular season. I have a feeling that when TO comes back the great team rhythm the Cowboys had tonite will be disturbed.

I know the preaseason games don't matter, but I just got my ticket today and I'm hoping the game vs KC is a little bit more competitive than this one was. I'll have hope that things will look better over time once the regular season starts and refrain from asking for paper at the grocery store. I'm making a concerted effort to be more optimistic this season.
