Eric more if this is correct is a nice additon. talk about a speed rusher. thought he would be a good LB in a 34 when i was watching him play he on the east coast. man i miss the SEC. and big ten. ACC is s-so

PRACTICE SQUAD: In addition to Fife, the Saints also added defensive ends Eric Moore and Scott Scharff to the practice squad. Moore was waived by the New York Giants, and Scharff was waived by the San Francisco 49ers last weekend.

The Saints have one spot remaining on the practice squad, which they were hoping to fill with either offensive tackle Ben Archibald or cornerback Anwar Phillips, both of whom they waived Sunday

POSITIVES: Athletic edge rusher with solid growth potential. Quick off the snap, knifes to the inside between blocks and drives up the field. Fast laterally, pursues the action from behind and gets to the sidelines chasing the play. Immediately changes direction, deceptively strong and tough to knock off his feet. Reads the action, works hard to make a play on the ball and gives top effort.

NEGATIVES: Not instinctive or quick to react. Lacks bulk, handled by large opponents and neutralized against the run.

ANALYSIS: A solid prospect who flashes abilities, Moore has not shown much consistency in college. Could be used as a pass-rush specialist at the next level, yet must make gains in the weight room and add bulk to his frame to be anything other than a one-dimensional player.

Scharff Named to All-NFLE Team print

49ers defensive end Scott Scharff was named to the All-NFL Europe League team on Thursday at the World Bowl Media Day at the LTU Arena in DÏ‹sseldorf, Germany.
Scharff played this spring for the Hamburg Sea Devils, recording 6.0 sacks to rank second in the league while also notching 19 tackles.
Scharff was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford on April 27, 2005, and spent the season on the team’s practice squad.
